Focus through Martial Arts (Karate) in Fresno or Clovis
Focus is one of the most important aspects of life. Those who know how to
focus will get results.
In this program, Focus becomes a major subject. You child will learn that
there are several building blocks to proper focus:
- Focus Your Mind
- Focus Your Eyes
- Focus Your Body
Additionally, there are several types of focus:
- Focus on your target
- Focus on your instructor (sometimes with your eyes, other times with your
ears)
- Focus on your partner
- Focus on yourself (when making self corrections)
What are incentives that will make your child develop all the important
habits that lead to being a more successful person?
We have a multi tiered system (and, from what we know, we are the only school
in the Fresno Clovis area that has this elaborate of an incentive system) to
make sure that we keep your child motivated to try harder and change his/her
habits.
- White Belt Test (Your child gets a chance to test for his/her white belt
after completing 10 tasks of courtesy, kindness and respect, in addition to
using the 7 magic words (Yes Sir, No Sir, Yes Ma'am, No Ma'am, Please, Thank
You, Your Welcome)
- Attitude Stripes (These are awarded during class to children who improve
their attitude or continue to be a good example)
- Belt Stripes (These are awarded for good attendance and knowing your
Karate moves)
- Badges (There is a large amount of badges that your child will earn over
time, such as: RESPECT badge, TEAMWORK badge, PERSEVERANCE badge, LEADERSHIP
badge, ACADEMIC ACHIEVER badge, TEAM LEVEL badge, MENTORING badge, KNOWLEDGE
badge, SELF DISCIPLINE badge, and more.
- Qualifying for the Leadership team or the Special Winning Attitude Team.
(It takes four to six weeks before your child might be allowed in one of these
teams. Your child will get to wear a special uniform!)
- Belt tests (It takes approximately 3 months to move from one belt level to
the next)
Don't miss this point. This is a very powerful incentive system. When a child
sees that all the other children are getting these things, he or she won't want
to be left out!
